Nonsense callout: Wokeness in NJ schools

What’s going on in our schools?

New Jersey has historically had some of the highest ranking schools in the country. It’s something for us to be proud of!

And yet, we’re currently facing so many pressing issues in our school system.

There is a major teacher’s shortage in important subjects such as math and science. And children are still behind after our excessive COVID shutdown–our test scores continue to be lower than pre-COVID and student absenteeism is at an all-time high

So, naturally, you would think our school boards, teachers unions, and government would be addressing these critical issues. Especially since Governor Murphy extended the education budget to $44.7 MILLION for the 2024-25 school year.

But you would be wrong.

Our educators are focusing on bringing a woke agenda into our schools, often against parents’ wishes.

Phil Murphy signed a new law requiring a new “sexual orientation and gender identity” curriculum in K-12 schools. The curriculum pushes nonsense, for example teaching first graders about gender roles and “gender identity,” which outraged parents across the state.

Can we please teach some math?

That might help the NJEA–our state’s largest teachers union–figure out how to spend its ridiculous $136 million in teachers’ dues. Right now, they’re misusing that money to send out mailers in support of their current president Sean Spiller’s candidacy for governor.

Schools should be teaching students the basics–math, English, science, history–instead of pushing a woke political agenda. It’s just common sense!

Unfortunately, common sense is something our Leftist school boards and governor seem to lack. That’s why those of us left with common sense MUST use our voices to hold them accountable for their actions.

If that sounds like something you want to be a part of, then we’re your people. If you’re not already a member of the Common Sense Club, you can join today for just $10/month! And if you’re already a member, we’re glad to have you! Consider giving a little extra to help elevate the voice of common sense here in New Jersey.

In defiance and strength,
