Been hearing the rumblings about redistricting in New Jersey and other “blue” states? 

Governor Phil Murphy has yet to rule out following Governor Gavin Newsom’s threats to redraw district lines to give the Left MORE seats of power. Okay, but can we stop copying California already?! It’s like a race to the bottom. 

I think we can agree that more one party control is the LAST thing we need here in New Jersey.

Let’s remember that one party holds 9 of our 12 congressional seats already. 

And both the Constitution and the law would have to be changed (unless the Left wants to just ignore the Constitution and the law – and we wouldn’t put it past them) since New Jersey’s Constitution specifies redistricting to occur every 10 years.  

Murphy says redistricting will be “high on the agenda” for Democratic governors. What SHOULD be high on their list? 

• Perhaps reducing our tax burden. 
• Perhaps a balanced budget.
• Perhaps ending the protests against the deportation of violent criminals. 
• Perhaps ensuring students can read and write. 
• Perhaps making it easier to start a business. 
• Perhaps taking real action on crime. 

But no. Holding on to political power and grabbing more of it will always be their #1 concern. And so common sense remains dead. 

Imagine how much more difficult it will be to reverse the direction of our state locally and federally if one party gains 100% control… But we can’t count ourselves out as the Common Sense Majority – even if they do. If these power grabbers proceed with this perversion of the process, you can bet we will have something to say about it.
