Justice finally served

NJ parental rights complaint

Minor children shouldn’t be asked intrusive survey questions about their family’s beliefs about politics, race, gender or sexual behaviors without parental knowledge and approval. Not appropriate. In fact, the “Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment” (aka – PPRA) is meant to protect parental rights around just this issue. A school district is bound by law to inform parents and give them the chance to opt their child out before performing one of these invasive surveys.

Cedar Grove School District violated that law, and six parents filed suit back in 2021.

Biden’s Department of Education was in charge of handling that complaint. No surprise – they sat on it until America First Legal intervened (read all about it here).

On July 26th, they issued their findings and confirmed that Cedar Grove School District violated the law.

It’s not often we get a win from the Biden Administration (actually more like never), but this one was just so obvious that they even had to reluctantly acknowledge the violation. WOW!

Parents have a right to be in charge of their children’s education – especially when it comes to sensitive topics like race, sexuality, and politics. If schools were more focused on academics and less on preparing the next generation of Leftist activists, we would be in a very different place as a state and a country.

But today, this win is worth celebrating.

And many thanks to the good people at America First Legal for fighting on behalf of these New Jersey parents and securing this rare victory for common sense and the plain reading of the law and the facts.

Because sometimes these things just aren’t so common after all…

If you want to be part of pushing back on the nonsense, the gaslighting, and the craziness going on around us on the daily, we’re your people. We’ll be here every day elevating the voice of New Jersey’s common sense majority and creating an environment where more wins like this are possible.
