We shocked the country two weeks ago and the Left is still reeling. Is it still a little (or a lot) entertaining to watch the elites melt down? Yes. Yes it is.

But getting serious for a moment, we’ve been digging into the data and it just keeps getting more exciting. 

At a high level, Trump got closer to winning New Jersey than any Republican presidential candidate since George H.W. Bush got within 2% of Bill Clinton in 1992. As of now, the margin separating President-Elect Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris is 5.6% (with final election results to be certified by December 5). Contrast that with Biden versus Trump in 2020 (57% to 41%) and you have a 10+ point swing to the right. Wow. 

Then, we went deeper into the county-by-county data. Here are the top five New Jersey counties with the biggest swings towards Donald Trump from 2020 to 2024.

#1: Passaic: +20.3% swing to Trump

#2: Hudson: +17.8% swing to Trump

#3: Middlesex: +14.1% swing to Trump

#4: Bergen: +13.1% swing to Trump

#5: Union: +11.6% swing to Trump

Those are BIG numbers. And they tell the story of New Jersey’s Common Sense Majority rising up electorally for the first time in a major election. We’ve seen whispers of it over the last five years (like when Ed Durr took out Steve Sweeney). But not to this scale. 

So that brings me to November 2025 – 350 days away, in case you’re counting, which I am. 

We need to use the momentum from these results to identify, motivate and activate more common sense voters across our state. They’ve felt vilified, ignored, and silenced, but these results should give more of them the courage to come forward. Because frankly, we’ve had enough of the madness around us, and it’s clear we can have an impact when we show up and vote the way we want to, not the way the elites tell us. Which is exactly what happened two weeks ago.
