President Trump has wasted no time cracking down on the border crisis – as voters overwhelmingly elected him to do. 

He declared a national emergency, stopped use of the Biden-era CBP app, reinstated ‘Remain in Mexico’ and put an end to birthright citizenship. And that’s just the beginning. 

What has been the reaction of New Jersey officials – who should be on notice with an election upcoming? 

Well, AG Matt Platkin and Governor Phil Murphy are using their power and platform to push back on President Trump’s border crackdown, even though an estimated 10% of New Jersey’s population is illegal. This week, AG Platkin joined California and a slew of blue states (and of course, the city of San Francisco) in challenging his executive order on birthright citizenship. More challenges are expected to follow, as once again, New Jersey’s leadership misses what voters care about.  

Trump’s Deputy Press Secretary, Harrison Fields, had these strong words in response to the Leftist freakout. “These lawsuits are nothing more than an extension of the Left’s resistance – and the Trump administration is ready to face them in court,” he said.

Let’s face it. The Left has never cared about the threat of an open border and the many loopholes used to game and overwhelm our immigration system. They only had to begin to pretend to care during the election when common sense voters rose up en masse and said “enough!”

But the attraction of suing Trump is simply too strong for partisans like Platkin to resist, and so once again they retreat to their radical ideological corner, with no thought for the voters who elected Trump and are preparing to kick many of them out of Trenton in 2025. 

The wave is coming.
