You guys. The cruelty and dishonesty of the Murphy administration and his cronies in Trenton knows no bounds. 

NJ Transit is about to raise fares while we continue to experience chronic delays. How on earth are we supposed to start paying more for a system that is working SO poorly? 

But even more disturbing is this new revelation. 

New Jersey Transit engineers have been underpaid for years, and there is a significant gap between what they earn working for NJ Transit and what their fellow locomotive engineers earn at other railroads. To offset their substandard wages, NJ Transit engineers have to work a lot of overtime. The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers (BLET) has tried to negotiate a modest wage increase to ensure engineers are paid commensurately with their peers at other railroads. But NJ Transit is refusing – despite the fact that they are actively losing engineers to other railroads (cue more delays) because of the poor wages. If no deal is reached, engineers will strike and the trains will stop moving in less than a week. 

But who do Governor Murphy’s Leftist Lunatic allies want to blame for the coming fare hikes at NJ Transit – even though they have refused to offer BLET a fair wage deal – the engineers! 

NJ Transit has mismanaged their already bloated funds. But sure, blame the engineers who just want to make a fair wage. You can find all the facts on the negotiations here. Murphy’s NJ Transit is broken and ultimately, his administration’s refusal to negotiate fairly will hurt us the commuters.
